It’s not everyday you get to visit the set of an exciting, upcoming movie — so when we were invited to take a tour of Beautiful Creatures in New Orleans we obviously leaped at the chance!

So how was the experience? Well, we don’t want to spoil anyone’s appetite so we won’t dish out too much yet — but the two sets we witnessed (from two very pivotal scenes in the book) were magnificent and the film’s fresh-faced stars — Alden Ehrenreich (who was discovered by Steven Spielberg) and Alice Englert (daughter of Jane Campion) — were delightfully conversational and very down-to-earth. Plus, we were treated to crab cakes, hummus, ice-cream and every possible delicious treat you can think of…so there’s that!

Based on the addicting book series by authors Kami Garcia and Margie Stohl, the Beautiful Creatures film promises plenty of enchanting and haunting entertainment. Not only does it feature a talented cast (i.e. Emmy Rossum, Viola Davis, Jeremy Irons, and Emma Thompson), but also nonstop supernatural thrills — which is right up our alley!
