Breaking news: sexy, bloodsucking Mystic Falls residents were spotted on the red carpet at PaleyFest 2014! Right after The Originals cast members took the stage at PaleyFest 2014, the stars of The Vampire Diaries swooped on in to partake in a special Q&A session of their own. TVD’s leading lady, Nina Dobrev — who twinkled in a sparkly, navy blue dress — and her dapper cast mates Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley — who smoldered in almost-matching gray suits — were on hand at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday evening (March 22) to discuss their respective characters, Season 5 drama, and amusing times on set. Joining them were executive producers and show writers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries, who were present to dish on some upcoming supernatural mayhem and romantic debacles as well as to answer audience questions.

Are you craving fresh spoilers about Delena, Stelena, Klaroline, and Paul’s highly anticipated directorial debut? Bite into all the entertaining highlights and photos from The Vampire Diaries panel at PaleyFest 2014 below. (And while you’re reading it, just imagine some deafening, enthusiastic screams and requests for selfies/stripteases to pretend like you were there!)

  • On Where Katherine Pierce Was Dragged Off To: Julie Plec and Caroline Dries confirmed that the sassy vamp is indeed dead. “We don’t really [talk about] heaven and hell on the show,” Caroline explained. “I thought it was pretty obvious — her being dragged away in a church — where she went.” However, despite that, there might be a chance that Katherine comes back — a very small sliver of a chance but the producers definitely did not refute the possibility when asked about it. “Never say never,” Caroline Dries laughed. Julie also regaled everyone with a story about how upon asking to use the church for this epic death sequence, they couldn’t tell the people running the church what they planned on using it for exactly. (Um, to drag off a murderous vampire into eternal damnation? Ha!) Oh, and if it looks familiar, it’s because he church is actually used as the setting for St. Anne’s on The Originals!
  • On Klaroline’s Relationship: Joseph, Candice, and the showrunners appreciate the relationship and didn’t object to the idea of exploring a romance between them. However, it’s hard to keep the momentum going since they currently star on two different series. “If they were still on the same show, they might have a brief moment of something,” Julie Plec confesses. “I feel like Caroline Forbes is such a crucial element on The Vampire Diaries; she has such a sparkling personality and brings so much [to the table]. I think taking her off [TVD] would be very damaging to the show. Right now, Klaus has [his own] sh*t to do.” Ian chimed in, “We have Caroline! Caroline’s staying with us!”
  • On A Potential Steroline Romance: Get ready for more adorable and poignant scenes between Caroline and Stefan, everyone! According to Julie, “they go through some stuff together.” Paul Wesley is especially excited about the two friends growing closer. “I’d like that!” he enthused, before joking that Candice Accola’s fiancé, The Fray’s guitarist Joe King, would probably punch him in the face for saying that.
  • Paul and Ian Are Forever Besties: At one point during the event, Paul was expressing his gratitude and love for his family and sisters, and Ian affectionately told him not to call him his hermana. Paul turned to Ian and joked, “Well no, you’re my wife,” and naturally the audience went crazy.
  • On Delena’s Passionate Yet Tumultuous Relationship: “They’ve got to have a lot of actual, legit, grown-up conversations,” Julie Plec pointed out. “We just want to try to play them as human as possible, in spite of their inhuman experience.” Ian then coyly added his two cents about why it’s hard for Delena to address important issues and resolve them. “They keep taking their pants off, and that’s what gets in the way of the grown-up conversations,” he said in a matter-of-fact tone. (And breaking the bed, anyone?)
  • On Stelena’s Future: While they wouldn’t say whether or not the characters hook up again or rekindle their romance, the TVD executive producers and stars did verify that there are plenty of interactions between Stefan and Elena in upcoming episodes of Season 5. Specifically? Episode 5×18! “There’s some really good Stelena stuff coming up in the episode Paul directed,” Caroline Dries hinted. She described the footage as being “satisfying” as it is “nostalgic.” Moreover, Paul confirmed that the upcoming Stelena scenes are “reminiscent of season one.” Aww. We can’t wait for some throwback memories!
  • On Tokens of Appreciation on Set: What did Nina Dobrev give Paul as a gift to congratulate him on his directorial debut? According to Paul, she gave him a giant, neon painting of herself. Nina started laughing as she tried to explain it was just for kicks, but Paul teasingly commented how it’s totally cool to give coworkers portraits of your face all the time. Apparently, much to Nina’s embarrassment, it’s still hanging in Paul’s dressing room aka the “Forbidden Room” where only a handful of people have access. (Psst. Ian is one of the lucky few who does.) As funny as Nina’s gag gift was, it also came with a heartfelt note that reminded Paul about their early days on the show before the CW series really took off.
  • On Stefan’s Neverending Pain and Torture: Poor Stefan. He can’t catch a break it seems. Julie, Caroline, and Paul all teased that although everyone has a rough go for it by the end of The Vampire Diaries Season 5, the younger Salvatore gets hit the hardest. (As much as it hurts us to see Stefan targeted, we do appreciate his various stages of brooding and watching Paul dive into character’s complex layers!)
  • On A Twist No One Will See Coming: When a fan asked whether or not Elena will choose one Salvatore brother to be with once and for all, Ian commented that whoever she does pick needs to woo her with fancy dinners and diamonds. As for Nina? “I think after all those boys put her through, she’s going to become a lesbian,” she playfully teased. (Ha! But also, if she does decide she has love for the ladies, can she date the gorgeous Emily Fields? A PLL and TVD crossover would be ideal fan-fiction coming to life.)

    1. Understand that there are no ACTUAL psychic vaipmres’, as neither psychic energy nor vaipmres actually exist. 2. Make sure that your friend understands this.3. Get her into therapy so she can address the actual psychological problem or issue that she and her friends are misinterpreting as psychic vampirism’.

When you complete your book (which by the way, I am eglreay waiting to add to my collection) will it be an e-book or paper bound? I love them both, but I wish paper bound books pattern books were spiral bound so they lay flat when doing a pattern.
