Celebrities around the world are just like us fang fans — they eat, breathe, laugh…and are totally obsessed with The Vampires Diaries. So whenever we receive word of a well-known star who can’t get enough of the dashing Salvatore brothers and all the supernatural drama that occurs in Mystic Falls, we get excited and try to return the favor via a proper shoutout. And this week’s Vampire Diaries celebrity fan of the week is an illuminating little firecracker — or, as her Team USA gymnast peers like to refer to her, “The Flying Squirrel,” for the way she soars through the air on the uneven bars. Come on down and meet 16-year-old Olympic gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas!

Gabrielle (“Gabby” and “Brie” for short) may be 4’11 but she’s basically teeming with super powers and gravity-defying potential. Have you ever seen her leap, tumble, and somersault around a balance beam? Girlfriend can pretty much show up in Mystic Falls and give those bloodsucking fiends a run for their fangs! Plus, this Virginia Beach resident is uber athletic, loves chocolate almost as much as Ian Somerhalder, and has a thing for bad boy vamps (her favorite show is TVD and book series is Twilight).
