Celebrities around the world are just like us fang fans — they eat, breathe, laugh…and are 100% obsessed with The Vampires Diaries. So whenever we receive word of a well-known star who can’t get enough of the dashing Salvatore brothers and all the supernatural drama that occurs in Mystic Falls, we return the favor via a proper shout-out. And this week’s Vampire Diaries celeb fan is not only a devout TVD aficionado but she’s also a young actress holding her own alongside Lost vet Terry O’Quinn and Ugly Betty‘s Vanessa Williams in ABC’s seductive new drama, 666 Park Avenue (which airs this Sunday at 10/9c right after Revenge). Come on down and meet Samantha Logan in our exclusive interview with her!
On How She Became Obsessed: “I don’t even know where to start. I’m getting a little over emotional, guys. First of all, I am also a Twi-hard fan, so when I first watched the pilot, I was like, ‘Oh! They look exactly like Edward and Bella Swan and I was like this is not okay.’ And then I watched the next episode and I got so into it!”
On The Mesmerizing Cast: “Well, let’s be honest, the whole cast is just amazingly beautiful. Just like this whole cast — I mean, I don’t understand it but it happened. [laughs] Also just the acting on the show is amazing.”
On Why Kat & Nina Rock: “I look up to Kat Graham so much. I met actually met her at the Warner Bros gala for the shows and she couldn’t have been nicer. We chatted for a bit and I found out that we have a lot in common. So I got her number [and] we’ve been talking so it’s pretty cool. And then I met Nina [Dobrev] and she’s the most amazing person ever!”
On All The Twists: “I love the show and my friends love it too so we always try to get together and watch it as a group. And, literally, it’s like a mini movie every week. Honestly, I can’t stop watching it. Plus, the writers always leave off with the best cliff-hangers. The cliff-hangers are intense and just out of this world and leave you wanting more.”
On Being Team Damon/Team Stefan: “I don’t like that there are teams! There are teams in Twilight but Stefan and Damon are brothers so for me there is technically no team. I would choose both. I love both.”
On Her TVD Crush: “Ian Somerhalder. Well it’s funny because he used to study with my current acting coach — Anthony Abeson [whom] I adore. I probably wouldn’t be where I am today [in terms of] my career if it wasn’t for Anthony. And then I found out that Ian worked with him and so did Jennifer Aniston and was just like, ‘Okay! Small world’”
On All The Suspense: “The TVD writers always add something new. New characters for example — one person will be on one moment and in the next scene they’ll be killed off. You just never know. I’m always thinking, ‘Whoa! I didn’t see that coming! What? I didn’t see that coming either!’ That’s what makes the show so incredible — it constantly keeps you on your toes!”
*Moment of Truth: We got a chance to talk with Samantha at the 666 Park Avenue premiere party in NYC and can verify that not only is she the sweetest and most vivacious girl ever, and not only is she the luckiest (she gets to work with One Tree Hill stud Robert Buckley!), but she’s also a diehard TVD fan. (Yes, we geeked out with her over Vampire Diaries Season 4 in the middle of a fancy event. That’s just the way we roll.)
Be sure to check out Samantha Logan in action on her new show 666 Park Avenue this Sunday at 10/9c on ABC! Watch the official trailer for the series below and be sure to follow Sam on twitter at @samanthalogan!
