The Vampire Diaries Real Estate: Elena Gilbert’s House is For Sale!

The Vampire Diaries - Elena Gilbert's houseElena and Jeremy Gilbert own one of the nicest homes in Mystic Falls, Virginia. With ample bedroom space, a vast kitchen hangout area and a quaint front porch, the Gilbert house (located on 2104 Maple Street) is a haven for its residents, and offers warmth and comfort during painful supernatural hardships. And –get this– the house is now for sale!

As hardcore fans as we are, we understand that the Gilbert kids and Mystic Falls belong to a fictional world. However, their gentle abode actually exists in Covington, Georgia where The Vampire Diaries television series is filmed! The 5,900 sq. ft. white main house (located on 1904 Floyd Street NE and built in 1921) sports high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a sprawling front porch and 2,000 sq. ft. guest house. Along with a spacious kitchen, there’s a master suite bedroom downstairs and four more on the second level. And the total price tag? A modest $450,000! (Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with fang-sprouting hotties, but it does come with TVD stars filming right outside your bedroom window. Swoon!)

We know that only exterior scenes are filmed at the house but if you’ve ever wondered what lies within, here’s your chance — take a tour of the Gilbert house below!

A lot of the homes we see on television and in movies are real-life residencies and not just gorgeous, meticulously designed sets. Which begs the question — if you could rent out your house to be featured in an episode of any show (including The Vampire Diaries), which would you choose?Tell us in the comments!

Hello this really is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a weblog soon but have no coding knowledge so I needed to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
