Last week on TVD, Elena spoke of becoming a vampire. Of course, she only brought it up to trick Elijah, but just the mention of it got us thinking: Should Elena consider turning to the dark side?
We’ve got 3 good reasons for her:
- Doppelganger benefits - Becoming a bloodsucker would make Elena totally useless for Klaus’s sacrifice. That alone could be a good reason to turn!
- Vamps do it better – Caroline is way cooler as a vamp. If Elena turned, maybe we’d have another badass vamp-chick to obsess over!
- Eternity with Stefan – If Elena was an immortal like Stefan, she wouldn’t have to worry about growing old . . . while Stefan stays as young and sexy as ever.
Do you think Elena should become a vampire? Or is she better off as the Salvatore brothers’ favorite mortal?
Elena will turn. I hope its not soon tho, it makes no sense with the current story line. I hope when they turn her it will make sense for the story to continue after. In the books she died shortly after becoming a vampire, then things got weird. I just can’t see the show going that route, there is too much developed mythology that wasn’t in the books for them to try to follow them now. One thing they could do when they turn her would be a story line with Kathrine which would not work at the moment.
I think that she should become immortal but if she did the series might end so I hope she doesn’t
No! The shows works because she is human, she’s vulnerable. It’s also what puts the tension into her relationship with Stefan. The whole human/vampire relationship is what’s interesting. I don’t want to see her as a vampire anytime soon, if at all.
i have one thing to say and one thing only:
ELENA=VAMPIRE !!!
I want Elena to turn vamp, but onllyyy if Damon turns her! that’d be so sexy and there’d be such a great story line from it.. Delena fans can be happy for a while while they have their love affair, then when she inevitably goes back to Stefan he can be all broody because Damon turned her instead of him. BUT her being a vampire would be like having two Katherines, so I don’t think the writers will do it for a while, if at all.
You’d think that she would have brought up being turned before now , I’d hate to get old and ugly while my boyfriend was hot forever !
She’s going to have to become a vampire eventually unless she’s wants to give up Stefan and Damon(Haha yeah right.) But I think they’ll wait a little while longer before they turn her, which I’m perfectly ok with.(:
Have none of you actually read the books? I watch the series out of morbid curiosity of what they’ll do next, but it honestly stinks compared to the books. If they had been following the books, she’d have been a vampire before season 1 ended. Can’t figure out where the story would go from there? GO READ THE BOOKS!!!

i think she will change during the sacrefice, klaus doesn’t knows about some vamp blood in her system and then she change i guess
I think Elena should get Katherine to give her blood and then go with Klaus to the sacrifice. Meanwhile Damon, Stefan, Caroline, Bonnie, and Jeremy are all upset and come after her. Then Klaus and his gang sacrifice elena and break the curse but after that Jeremy kills Klaus. Then they all feel defeated while Katherine runs away and thay think Elena is dead. Then she comes back to the Salvatore house and they show her how to be a vampire. Nd plus Luca’s sister gets out alive. Elena is with Stefan and Damon is one of her closest friends.
Ok, the truth is idk who Elena should be with but i like Stefan a little better than Damon right now.
Yes, that would be awesome BUT…. What about he werewolves they will be back and all it takes is 1 BITE!!!!
Well if she got turned, Stefan and Damon would have nobody to save from danger and the show would be sort of pointless.

will Katherine continue to be around or would someone kill her.?
OH right, the forth book. The spirit thing Elena turned into after dying as a vamp. WTF was that? I hope the show doesn’t go that direction. She shouldn’t be a vampire anytime soon. She needs to LIVE!
i think that Elena wouldn’t turn into a vampire because of Jerremy , Bonie and Jenna. I think it’ll be pretty selfish from her to turn into a vampire!
I think, for right now, she NEEDS to stay human because if she turns into a vampire soon, then where will some of the suspense go? Dont forget, we are only 1.5 seasons in. They cant make her change too soon! But i think and hope she will turn into a vampire by the end of the series. And i hope she ends up with DAMON!!!!

I think that Elena and Stefan should get married and stay that way for a while before the whole vampire thing “must” arise.
Wouldn’t it be great to see Elena and Katherine face off against each other as vampires? I loved the way the writers made the script to keep us thinking; what was on her mind when she said those words to Elijah? And Stefan’s face… he will give her Hell if she decides to become a vampire, like Edward and Bella, but who cares about them now?!
