The Vampire Diaries is currently on hiatus, but that doesn’t that fans worldwide aren’t dreaming about the return of their beloved show! From sketches to cupcakes, TVD fans are continually showcasing their creativity and love for the fang series throughout the long, hot summer months. In fact, they’re so eager and excited for Season 4 to begin that they’ve taken to creating their own teaser trailers!
Here are five fan-made preview trailers we absolutely adore!
Aside from the premiere date being listed as September 2012 instead of October 2012, this video’s got everything: badass Bonnie, Elena as a vampire, and plenty of suspense via a dying Caroline. Enjoy!
We’re not Team Stelena nor Team Delena (100% Team TVD), but we’re loving this fan’s commitment to the prospect of Delena happening in Season 4. Well done!
This trailer left us speechless (and in tears). From Elena’s confession that she doesn’t want to be a vampire to her horrific death to an epic score, this video narrows on all the issues Elena has dealt with as a human and what she will continue to face throughout her transition.
Wow! Talk about major editing skills — this talented fan seamlessly linked together scenes from Season 2 and Season 3 to create one hell of a riveting teaser trailer for Season 4. Check it out!
Unlike other shows, the Vampire Diaries opening credits is quick and simple — with the logo, eerie music, and a drop of blood right through the letter V. However, this fan completely re-imagined one for Season 4!
So tell us: Which of the above Vampire Diaries fan trailers for Season 4 is your favorite? Drop us a note below if you know of any more great ones!

The “It’s My Choice” trailer is amazing! Seriously, that fan has skills. Easily the best! The second one had atrocious trailer grammer and I’m an English student, I can’t ignore it. The Harry Potter “led to this” moment in one of them was a bit much too.
