We’re glad to see Nina and Ian squeezing in some personal time into their hectic schedules — because if the finale was any indication, Vampire Diaries Season 4 is going to be jam-packed with drama and heart-wrenching mayhem! Even Nina seems to think so and recently dished to US Weekly: “I liked having one human and one vampire, because then I get the best of worlds and I get to do a variety of things. But, then again, it is going to be different for me and it’s going to be challenge. It’s going to be more fun to sort of explore that world.” She also added, “We’re definitely going to see her whole transition into becoming a vampire. We’re not going to skip over it, as we have with others. Becoming a vampire, everything you feel is heightened. . . We know what Elena’s like: She has high morals, she looks out for other people. So what’s Elena going to be like with those things accentuated?” Uh-oh. Sounds like Elena is going to be forced to do some seriously heavy decision-making as she goes from mere mortal to a ravenous bloodsucker!

So tell us, which of the two owns the better hat collection — Ian Somerhalder or Nina Dobrev?

Paul Wesley plays a bloodthirsty vampire on The Vampire Diaries but, surprisingly, Stefan Salvatore isn’t his favorite fang-sprouting fiend ever — that honor belongs to the notorious Count Orlok from the 1922 horror film Nosferatu. In a recent interview with the online retailer Mr Porter, Paul revealed his fondness for the creepy and old-school vamp and talked in considerable depth about the entertainment industry, his three sisters, and the future of TVD. Luckily for fans worldwide though, Paul is much more handsome (and much more smooch-able from Elena Gilbert’s perspective) than his beloved yet monstrous Count!

At KIIS FM’s Wango Tango concert event held on May 12th at The Home Depot Center, Kat Graham debuted a radically different hairstyle from her usually dark locks. The Vampire Diaries actress and “Put Your Graffiti On Me” singer decided to jazz up the festive summer months and take advantage of the TVD hiatus by switching up her hair color. Following in the footsteps of fierce radio vixens Rihanna and Ciara, Kat went from a monochromatic ‘do to sporting a crimped fade with contrasting roots and ends. And, daring new hairstyle aside, Kat looked like the perfect blend of old school and sexy in a Gaurav Gupta dress, Dr. Martens boots, and gold accessories. Ian Somerhalder has added numerous titles and accolades to his name this past year. In fact, when we caught up with Nina at her “Like Her, Like Me” event launch she had nothing but praise for her beautiful and supportive mother Michaela. Here’s what Miss Nina exclusively shared with VampireDiaries.com when we asked her what she admires most about her mom:

“I look to my mom for so many things. I bounce ideas off her, we talk all the time and before all this [waves hands] this happened, my mom was in my life. She was always there before the fame and before [Vampire Diaries] so I know that I can always count on her to be honest with me and say it like it is. She’s a very blunt woman…[laughs and adds]sometimes too blunt but that’s why I love her.”

We don’t know about you but we’re been rooting for Team Salvatore/Defan since the very first episode of The Vampire Diaries. When they join forces, Damon and Stefan Salvatore are double the hotness, double the heroism, and double the thrill. Despite the difficulties and struggles they’ve endured throughout the years, the two continue to cherish their bonds of brotherhood — of love, loyalty and mutual respect as well. We honestly couldn’t imagine one without the other.
