As avid supporters of H-O-T guys and Mystic Falls beasts, we’re pretty damn excited for Magic Mike. (It’s not like we honored them months ago as our Vampire Bait of The Week or anything…) Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello, Alex Rodriguez, Matt Bomer and Matthew McConaughey all shirtless on one stage…OMG! In other words, they took some of the sexiest actors in Hollywood and asked them to get jiggy with it. So what does this all have to do with Vampire Diaries hunk Ian Somerhalder?
Well, one of the cast members, Matt Bomer, couldn’t believe that he had been selected for the role of an exotic dancer in the movie. In fact, he recently confessed to E! News that he thought they meant to call Ian Somerhalder instead of him! (Just another case of mistaken doppelganger identity is all.) Check it out:
“When they called me, I thought, ‘Do they have the wrong number? Did they mean to call the guy from Vampire Diaries?’” Matt told E!, laughing. “And at the time I was really skinny so I think there may have been a five-minute window from when I hung up the phone to when I went to the gym.”
Um, the man who plays Damon Salvatore shaking his assets and undressing in front of screaming ladies? No, we can’t picture that at all. (Wink wink.)
