Ian Somerhalder & Nina Dobrev Bake Pies & Greet Fans at McClains Pizzeria

On Thanksgiving, most people tend to carve into a roasted turkey and enjoy a delicious feast with their loved ones at home. However, when you’re two of the hottest stars of a hit television series, your plans tend to be slightly unconventional. At least that was the cast for Vampire Diaries co-stars and real-life couple Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder.

The adorable duo enjoyed their holiday break in the bayous Louisiana this year, where they met up with Ian’s family. Joined by Nina’s mom (who received a special pizza-making lesson from Ian), Ian and Nina enjoyed baking pies, posing for photos, and greeting fans at McClain’s Pizzeria, which is owned by Ian’s sister and brother-in-law, on Sunday, November 25, 2012.

Afterward, Ian tweeted his gratitude to all the patrons who dropped by for a chat and a scrumptious slice of cheesy goodness: “Thank you to everyone for coming to McClain’s Pizzeria in Mandeville, LA today to hang with me, @ninadobrev and family!What an afternoon. Wow.” He followed up his message of gratitude with an image of a romantic sunset in Louisiana.
