It’s no secret that we are complete suckers for anything having to do with vampires — even if it means playing nice with those who hunt them. From Buffy to Blade, as long as they leave our Mystic Falls hotties alone, we enjoy ourselves a little slayer action. And our current favorite fang destroyer? Why, Abraham Lincoln of course!

Yep. That’s right. The 16th President of the United States is taking the summer (and history) by storm as the moonlighting nightmare of all evil, bloodthirsty monsters in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. We already previewed the film and let’s just say it was action-packed, gripping, and dramatic — just the way we like our supernatural entertainment. Moreover, we were offered the incredible opportunity to meet up with the cast and crew, and they were just as excited to talk vamps, badass leaders, and slayer weaponry as much as we were!

Despite the random title, the movie does an amazing job blending history and fiction (Walker’s reenactment of the Gettysberg Address gave us chills), and the special effects were pretty mindblowing if we do say so. (Psst. Keep an eye out for the horse stampede fighting scene — it’s total CRAZINESS!)
