We’ve learned loads of interesting details about Klaus on the last few episodes of The Vampire Diaries.
- He didn’t really bury his brothers and sisters at sea (as far as we know).
- He’s a mega powerful were-vamp hybrid.
- He draws blood from his victims neatly without making a mess.
- He’s a handsome devil. (Well, we’ve always known that.)
- He seems to enjoy causing women pain and suffering.
First Klaus tried to tame his wild-Kat by compelling her to repeatedly stab her leg. Then he made her stand in direct sunlight. And we couldn’t help but notice how pleased he was that his sacrificial werewolf, vampire, and doppelganger were all women. “I rather appreciate the symmetry of three women, three goddesses sacrificed at nature’s altar,” he told Stefan. Then he tore Jules’s heart right out of her chest, staked Jenna, and drank Elena’s blood until she collapsed.

He’s just a really old bastard who has been turning off his emotions for a loooong while, so killing people is for this sick guy the same as doing the dishes .
What an interesting observation. I’m hoping to learn more about Klaus’s back story in the season finale, so maybe we’ll learn why he hates women so much? And to the other Julie, even if he were gay that would require that he cares about someone. Klaus cares about no one but himself.
I don’t think Klaus is gay, after all it is obvious that he and Kat had a thing, at least she thought they did, before she was to be sacrificed. And in the present it was him and Gretta. Personally I think that Klaus is a Sadist with a god complex. He enjoys causing the suffering of those less powerful than him, and if a beautiful woman gets to suffer at his whim, all the better.
I would like to see more of a back story on the originals. How the heck did they turn if there were no vamps before them???

I hope we get to know more about Klaus and his past. I mean, about the other originals and the original Petrova girl.
I think he’s got “mommy” issues,given his mother cheated on her husband and procreated Klaus with some other guy. Maybe, he feels women can’t be trusted. It would be interesting to know more about Klaus’s life- who knows if the other Petrova doppelganger played him.
Before we found out that Klaus and Elijah were brothers, I was always hoping that it would be revealed that they had a homosexual relationship together…whether they were bi or gay. haha.
But being gay has nothing to do with being a misogynist. Gay guys can like women…in a friendly and respectful way. Anyways, I’d say he probably had girl issues back in the day, and perhaps likes to inflict pain upon women in response to the pain that was inflicted upon him by a woman? Charlotte Petrova? Just guessing.
I don’t like Klaus at all… i think he personally enjoys killing people for the fun of it to show them that he doesn’t care about anyone and he is this crazy psycho killer, who has no feelings or guilt what so ever… he really has a freaky mind about three women making a symmetrical sacrifice, and he didn’t even hesitate at all to kill Jules and Jenna.. i don’t like him at all and i think what he said to Elijah was just a clever move to stop being killed.

Klaus is an old vampire. He loved someone, but something went wrong. Perhaps that woman betrayed him and thats why he cut off his emotions. But as we know, the instinct of surviving is still on. So he started to live without love. Of course he killed people because of affection to blood and thats how he made some (or many) enemies.
Blablabla he realized that he is one of the first vampires and there comes his Ego in our game. So suddenly he felt very powerfull and wanted to rule the world probably. And as we know for that he need to release his inside wolf.
Blablabla all I wanted to say is that for him it is natural, it is normal, he don’t have anyone who loves him and anyone to love, so there is just lust for power.
I hope we will see him as a vamp-wolf hybrid.
Klaus is a DEVIL a MONSTER!!!!! and I’ve never liked him if he was hot I would make an exception but he’s NOT hot he’s hideous!

I really think all of you have some of something right in your post but if you all look at the big picture Klaus has big issues about women because of went down when he was young that his mother did sleep with a other man and that is when his mom had him so with all that I really think that he knows that the father he knows isn’t his dad so like I’m telling you he is so pissed off at women because of what his mother did,that’s why he ihates women so much and he just don’t care at all about them as well. Maybe he behaves like an asshole because long ago, some woman hurt him, and she was a Petrova, hence making him want to kill all Petrova ladies or something like that! He is such an evil guy, and yet, ladies wanna smack one bang on his lips! He is undeniably sexy, period. And, I don’t think he is misogynistic. That word fits for a sparkly moron called Edward (a la Twilight)!
I honestly dont think he (klaus) is that good looking, I like Elijah much better. And from things I read, Elijah should be back next season somehow, even tho Klaus killed him. I was wondering about another Petrova also. Of course I’m still wondering about Stefans comment regarding wanting to come back to mystic falls to focus on or have a family… they cant procreate so I thought. Elana wants a family too, but also a future with stefan, how would that be possible. Are the originals not able to procreate also, if they dont have all the same vamp issues regular vamps have. Can Klaus procreate as part werewolf?? Or would the vamp part negate the ability to have kids with someone – assuming he could not kill a girl long enough to have a child with one lol. And Elijah called him NiKlaus, which almost sounds like a version of Nicholas… hmmm
In other aspects, Klaus does seem to love killing women, human, vamp, wolf or whatever. I think he would rather turn men into vamps or werewolves in order to have hunting buddies, but wouldnt consider doing that with women.
If Elijah comes back, I do hope they bring back the rest of the originals… and what IS there last name for real anyhow??
I think, Klaus is Gay or Bi and he loves Stefan. That’s why he asked Stefan to go with him as a deal to save Damon. At EP22, when he met Stefan at the house, he seemed to very exciting and happy. Also, at many scenes, he got so close to Stefan and almost wanted to kiss him… If Klaus loves Stefan, but Stefan loves Elena (or got relationship with Klaus in order to save Elena), that plot would be very funny… haha!
I don’t really think that Klaus is a misogynist. He is an old vampire, but he is still a male and I think he just likes biting girls’ neck more than kill boys, that’s all. Before I forget, I’m pretty sure he is not gay.
