The last time we saw Tyler Lockwood, he was ready to skip town with his girlfriend Caroline Forbes. However, things took a turn for the worse when Bonnie — in an attempt to save her friends and mom — conducted a swapping spell and and switched Klaus’ body with Tyler’s. So, luckily, Klaus didn’t die — but unfortunately his survival meant that Tyler’s body would need to be sacrificed in order to host his essence. (Clearly, it’s what all the cool kids are doing these days.) So what’s next for poor Tyler now that Klaus is commanding his every thought and movement? Find out what the talented Michael Trevino had to say about his character’s drama-rama in season four of The Vampire Diaries:
“At the end of Season 3, you find out that [Tyler and Caroline] have to essentially leave town otherwise they’re going to die or someone’s going to come after them.”
“Bonnie has executed this swapping spell and now we have Klaus taking over Tyler’s body. So now Tyler’s possessed and it’s going to be interesting to see how that starts in Season 4.
“Klaus has a thing for Caroline and you would think that if Klaus is possessing Tyler’s body he’s going to take full advantage of that and — I don’t know for certain — but I would think he might go after Caroline pretending to be Tyler when Tyler is Tyler. [smiles] Do you understand that?”
“It’s been a long hiatus and a lot of traveling going on but I miss Atlanta. I miss kind of being back home and just getting back to the next season and this next chapter of The Vampire Diaries. And basically seeing our family — our Vampire Diaries family.”
