‘Tis the season of merriment and miracles and — let’s face it — Mystic Falls has plenty of them! (Miracles…not merriment that is). In honor of all those scary close-calls that ended well, and one of our favorite books, The Probability of Miracles, we’re celebrating with a week chock full of Vampire Diaries miracles. And we’re kicking off #miraclesweek with a salute to Damon Salvatore‘s Season 2 survival!
Remember the little predicament Damon found himself in when he crossed paths with Tyler Lockwood‘s bad-ass werewolf self? He received a hell of a bite and was literally wasting away on his death-bed (all sweaty and gross to boot). However, instead of disintegrating into nothingness like poor Rose, he lived to see another sunrise and plunge into another neck.
Miracle? Damn straight it was! Just in the nick of time, younger bro Stefan sacrificed himself to Klaus in exchange for a vial of that good ish hybrid blood and, alas, Damon defied the itchy were-bite odds!
