Fun fact: Katy Perry’s music has been featured on The Vampire Diaries not once but twice! Did you know that? So in honor of the pop star’s new documentary movie Katy Perry: Part of Me that chronicles her life on and off-stage, we’re celebrating by looking at which of her songs are part of The Vampire Diaries music history!
Although TVD is renowned for introducing fans to new music and emerging artists, when a scene requires a big-time song, the show is not afraid to go a little more “mainstream” (i.e. Paramore, The Fray, and Florence and The Machine). So without further ado, here’s a special Katy Perry playlist that includes tracks from Vampire Diaries episodes, including some songs fangs fans would love to see implemented in potential scenes!
- “Thinking of You” – This track can be heard in the very first episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 1. It plays when Stefan and Elena walk into the Mystic Grille together.
- “Use Your Love” – The song plays on The Vampire Diaries Season 1, Episode 18 during the episode entitled “Under Control.” It starts streaming during the scene where Stefan asks Elena to dance at a Lockwood cocktail reception.
Oh, and that’s not all. TVD viewers appreciate Katy a lot — so much that they’ve made some stellar Vampire Diaries fan videos using the songstress’s fierce tunes! Here are five of our favorites:
“Hummingbird Heartbeat” – Caroline & Tyler
“Hot ‘n Cold” – Elena and Damon
“Firework” – Bonnie and Jeremy
“Teenage Dream” – Elena and Stefan

Awake- it is perfect for newly vamped Elena!
