Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev is many things: a gorgeous cover girl, a wonderful actress, a style inspiration, a People’s Choice Awards winner, and (pretty much) the luckiest girl in the world. Moreover, just like her TVD co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham, Nina loves to give back and promote positive change throughout the world. Oh, and did you know that she’s a miracle worker as well?
Yep. That’s right! Nina inspired a real-life miracle. Recently, Nina received the following touching letter from a fan:

In it, a TVD viewer named Danielle describes her 3-year-old cousin’s heartbreaking struggle with cerebral palsy and how nothing but Nina’s voice seems to soothe his painful fits. To help out her young cousin (named Shane), this fan recorded movie/TV clips of Nina talking and placed them on a CD to play for him during his agonizing episodes. And instead of brushing the letter aside, Nina took action and did the sweetest thing EVER for the toddler…she bought him a teddy bear with a recording of her voice:

Seriously. How precious is this act of kindness?! And if you have tears in your eyes after reading that letter and about Nina’s simple yet incredible gesture don’t worry because we’re wiping away a few of our own right now!

After I wiped the tears away, I just wanted to say that Nina Dobrev is a beautiful talented actress but above all she is an amazing human being. Most actors read fan mail and think nothing of it. She took the time to make a small miracle of her own, that meant the world for a child. We need more actors to put aside fame and fortune and take value of what is most important, life!
Wow! That is just such a touching story. I have a brother with a tramatic brain injury so the little girls story really spoke to me. And what a perfect gift for the little boy Nina really has a heart of gold:)
I think that it is really amazing how Nina took the time to go and buy that little boy the teddy bear it was such a kind thing to do.
I think this was a very sweet thing to do, and take notice of this little thing that means so much to someone else. So kudos to Nina for staying down to earth! Excuse me if I sound offensive after this touching article, but it seems a little…pretentious? I looked into this a bit more, and her mother tweeted about this, which I found slightly advertential, as did the photo of her sending the gift. Tell me if I’m just…delusional today, no hate towards the girl.
