It’s no secret that The Vampire Diaries has zero problem with killing off main characters. Vicki Donovan kicked off the heartbreaking trend back in Season 1 and, soon, the death toll spiraled out of control: Anna, Mason, Jules, Jenna, and Alaric are just a handful of beloved characters to bite the dust. (Basically,being a resident of Mystic Falls pretty much ensures that murder and destruction are a normal part of your daily routine.)
That being said, during a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Nina Dobrev decided to add salt to wound by revealing that viewers are in for some major heartache on TVD Season 4. Here’s what she said:
Will Any Of The Main Characters Die This Season?
“Yes, they will. Multiple main characters. At the moment there are talks of at least one or two. But it always changes. Nothings set in stone until we’ve shot it, and even then.”
Luckily, Nina is an emphatic gal who understands the plight of being a fang fan — so she cushioned the blow a bit by hinting at romance and sexy times. Dig in:
Will Elena Kiss Damon?
“There will be definite moments of temptation! She’s going through such an emotional roller coaster ride right now, because she’s becoming a vampire, that her feelings for Damon which were subdued before are now as a vampire are heightened and starting to peek through again. So will she give in to the temptation or not? We’ll have to see!”
