With Damon Salvatore being a bloodthirsty vampire and Bonnie Bennett being a powerful migraine-causing witch, the two of them have never really gotten along. (Remember when Bonnie tried to set him on fire in the beginning of Vampire Diaries Season 2?) However, in The Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale, Damon and Bonnie are setting aside their differences and joining forces for the common good (aka saving Mystic Falls from Alaric Saltzman’s destructive clutches). The two will team up and embark on a special ops field trip in an attempt to resolve a dangerous predicament involving Alaric and Klaus.
Watch a sneak peek clip from “The Departed” in which Damon leads Bonnie to the storage unit where he’s stashed Klaus’ desiccated body.
Damon: You know, I’m not halfway out of Virginia, Elena sells our souls to the Originals?
Bonnie: It’s her call.
Damon: You know what else is her call? Everything bad ever.
Bonnie: Where’s the body? As long as it’s unspelled, Alaric’s one witch away from finding it.
Damon: Hidden. I was going to use unit 666 but I hear that would be a little obvious. So, 1020. Mini-fridge, a couple bird cages, a box full of Playboys…one beek-jerkified Original.
Food for thought: Why does Alaric needs Klaus’ body all of a sudden? Will Klaus be revived at all in the finale? And where will Ric find the witch he needs to perform his ritual? Leave your predictions below, and tune in for the The Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW!

I think Esther ultimately wants Alaric to kill all the originals and then she will kill Elena to get rid of Alaric.
Alaric needs Klaus ‘s body in order to use the oak stake, it being the only way to destroy Klaus permanently. I question why Damon and Stefan stored Klaus’s body in the first place- wouldn’t it be safer to keep him away from the imminent danger Esther represents to their entire vampire line? Plus, Klaus will be pissed off with being put down. Good luck, Damon and Bonnie!
