- “Twice” by Little Dragon: Plays when Elena returns to his room and finds Damon waiting for her. However, she quickly realizes that he’s not actually there but her memory from the night he confessed his love has returned and is playing out inside her mind.
- “Whirring” by The Joy Formidable: Plays during Caroline and Tyler’s hook-up scene in the woods when “Tyler” accidentally calls Care-bear “love” and she immediately realizes Klaus has taken over Tyler’s body.
- “Wait For the Morning” by Amy Stroup: Plays when Stefan and Elena are getting cozy with each other on the roof and she realizes she needs to head back inside before sunrise. At that moment, however, Stefan surprises her with a daylight ring that Bonnie made especially for her. Hence, they are able to watch the sun rise up over the hill together.
