Ever since executive producer Julie Plec unveiled the title for the second episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 4, we knew it was going to be an alarming episode full of shocking twists and tears. After all, anything titled “Memorial” normally exudes a sense of melancholy and foreboding.
And now there are fresh images to back up the claim that poor Elena Gilbert is about to experience the fright of her life. She doesn’t look well at all — she’s frail and pallid but luckily she’s got Matt Donovan, Stefan Salvatore, Damon Salvatore, and Jeremy Gilbert by her side to help her through. (Contrary to popular belief though it appears though vampires are quite the churchgoing folks!)
