Synopsis for Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 3 Promises "Thrilling Motorcycle Ride"

Motorcycle ride

Stefan and Elena aren't pictured, but this is how we imagine the scene would look like!

Spoiler Alert: Please do not read any further if you do not wish to know any details about the fourth season of The Vampire Diaries!

The transition process of going from human to vampire definitely doesn’t seem all that fun or easy. Sure, newly acquired powers such as speed and strength sound promising — but there’s the itty bitty issue with sunlight (step out into the light and burn alive is how the story usually goes) as well as all the intense blood cravings. Oh — and your least favorable human qualities somehow become magnified. (So you’re if a worry wart you’ll end up being a mega worry wart!) That being said, poor Elena Gilbert, who never even wanted to be a vamp in the first place, is most likely going to suffer a lot throughout the fang adjustment period. And to add to her pile of woes, a new vampire hunter named Connor shows up in town gunning for a fight. Luckily, she’s got great friends (including witches who can whip up magical daylight rings) and handsome guys by her side to help her through all the drama. Dive into the official synopsis for Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 3 below to find out how (or even if) the former doppelganger will handle the stress:

“THE VAMPIRE DIARIES” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)
“The Rager” (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

BORN TO BE WILD — Connor (guest star Todd Williams) continues his search to uncover the secrets of Mystic Falls and tries to convince Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to work with him. With Dr. Fell’s (guest star Torrey DeVitto) help, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) question Connor, but the confrontation takes a lethal turn. Trying to keep her new life as normal as possible, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is determined to continue her senior year at Mystic Falls High with support from Matt (Zach Roerig) and Caroline (Candice Accola). Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) arrival at school makes it difficult for Elena to control her anger, but she learns that confronting Rebekah can be extremely dangerous. Later, Rebekah realizes how alone she is, and reaches out to April (guest star Grace Phillips). Stefan (Paul Wesley) takes Elena on a thrilling motorcycle ride in an effort to show her that life can still be fun. Tyler (Michael Trevino) gets a surprise visit from Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin, “The Secret Circle”), a werewolf who helped him through the ordeal of breaking his sire-bond to Klaus. Concerned about Elena, as well as his own emotions, Stefan turns to a sympathetic Caroline for advice. Lance Anderson directed the episode written by Brian Young (#403).

Hitting the open road for a motorcycle adventure with Stefan Salvatore…Gee, what more can a girl ask for? Stefan is pretty much becoming Jax Teller (but with fangs and a diet based on blood bags), and we have zero problem with his rebel flag flying high and free!

Also, another interesting thing to note about this synopsis — aside from the fact that Rebekah actually tries to befriend another girl without turning it into a cat fight — is that it states that Klaus as Joseph Morgan will confront Connor. Yes, while the news leaves us slightly worried because this new vamp hunter sounds downright bad ass, we can’t help but rejoice since it probably means that the hybrid king will be out of Tyler’s body and back in his own.

So tell us: What detail stood out most to you while reading the synopsis for “The Rager”?
