Spoiler Alert: Please do not read any further about The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 5 if you do not wish to know any details ahead of time.
Written by Michael Narducci and directed by Chris Grismer, the fifth episode of The Vampire Diaries is taking old school — and by old school we mean badass and chaotic. Not only will Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) form an uneasy alliance to try and take down new Mystic Falls hunter, Connor Jordan (guest star Todd Williams), but Connor also takes Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Matt (Zach Roerig) and April (guest star Grace Phipps) hostage at the Mystic Grill.
While everyone is trying to figure out the hostage situation, Elena (Nina Dobrev) finds herself at the center of a major disagreement between the Salvatore brothers. Meanwhile, Caroline (Candice Accola) is busy trying to figure out if Haley (Phoebe Tonkin) is out to seduce her hybrid boo, Tyler (Michael Trevino), and brave Bonnie (Kat Graham) is throwing up deuces at all the supernatural/love drama and trying to work through her issues with Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay) .
