There’s no denying that The Vampire Diaries music is a crucial aspect of the show — it takes all those breathtaking scenes we’ve cherished over the span of four seasons, and elevates them to a level of emotional aptitude we didn’t think was possible.

That being said, viewer excitement is at an all-time high over anticipation for The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 7 — the game changing hour of television that many fans are already dubbing Damon and Elena’s watershed moment.  And, to add more fuel to the fire, Elektra Records just announced that Ed Sheeran’s track, “Kiss Me,” will be featured on “My Brother’s Keeper.” (Feel free to insert a glorious scream of joy!)

As many viewers recall, Ed Sheeran made his debut on TVD with the “Give Me Love” waltz scene that took place in episode 3.14. So far, it’s been one of the the top musical moments on the show, so we can’t wait to see during which scene his soul-tugging “Kiss Me” plays. (Seriously. Goosebumps will erupt when the song’s beautiful melody begins streaming.)

So will it be featured during the Miss Mystic Falls pageant? Or will we hear Ed’s voice crooning during a romantic revelation? Or will the song help heighten a montage of our favorite characters in various states of longing and curiosity? That’s one secret you will find out in TVD episode 4.07. However, believe us when we tell you that “My Brother’s Keeper” will make your jaw drop straight to the floor.
