Tonight’s the night. The wait is over. The incredible Phoebe Tonkin is dropping by Mystic Falls for a fresh bout of mischief and drama.
The talented actress — who hails from the Land Down Under and is real-life besties with everyone’s favorite Original vampress, Claire Holt — will be making her TVD debut in “The Rager” (the third episode of The Vampire Diaries Season 4). She will be portraying a “gorgeous, sexy, nurturing and tough” werewolf named Hayley (think a feistier version of Jules), who helped Tyler Lockwood break his sire bond to Klaus back in Season 3. And, Forwood fans beware, because this wild child is looking to stir up trouble between Caroline and her well-toned, hybrid boo!
Manipulative new characters and supernatural mayhem aside, there’s another reason we can’t wait to see Phoebs in action — she’s a true fang fan! Yep. That’s right. When Alloy Entertainment interviewed her back in September 2011, she had nothing but amazing things to say about TVD. In fact, she even went ahead and fessed up to which Salvatore brother gets her heart racing more. Enjoy:
Were you a fan of The Vampire Diaries before getting cast?
Phoebe Tonkin: I started watching Vampire Diaries just after I filmed the pilot, and it’s great. I’m up to the second season now, and it’s awesome. I know Shelley and I started watching it around the same time and we kind of like talked to each other and were like, “Wow, like, this is so cool. What an honor that we’re following this show because it is so good.” So, hopefully the people that are watching that show will like our show because The Vampire Diaries is really, really cool.
Are you Team Damon or Stefan?
Phoebe Tonkin: Damon, all the way.
How come?
Phoebe Tonkin: It’s a funny role. He has a sense of humor even though he’s so dark and gets away with doing all these bad things, but you never actually kind of judge him because the character is such a joy to watch.Check out the full interview here!
