According to quotes from Vampire Diaries show creator and executive producer Kevin Williamson, we have reason to believe that Secret Circle star Phoebe Tonkin might be appearing on the fourth season of TVD!

Kevin Williamson spoke highly of the Australian actress in an interview with IGN, and revealed his enthusiasm for bringing her over to hang with everyone’s favorite fang gang: “I love Phoebe [Tonkin]. I love her. I want her on Vampire Diaries. I ought to write her in.” (Let’s just say he sounded very adamant about casting her!)

We already know that several new characters will be introduced in the fourth season, including a teen girl by the name of April Young, who’s been away at private school all this time. She will return home to Mystic Falls this year, following the death of her father, Pastor Young. Rumor also has it that she and Jeremy have history and that the two will reconnect. Romance, mystery, teen angst — this role sounds so perfect for the incredible Phoebe! (Plus, she’s best friends with Claire Holt, who plays Rebekah on the show and Joseph Morgan, who portrays Klaus.)
