As we draw closer to the fourth season premiere of The Vampire Diaries, exciting intel about the upcoming episodes keeps making its way right into our ravenous hands. We don’t know you but we’re suffering through major Salvatore withdrawal so getting the scoop on new characters, sinister occurrences, and potential twists helps alleviate some of the pain. (Thank goodness for that!)

Are you as hungry for fresh TVD details as we are? Then go ahead, and sink your teeth into the delicious nuggets of info below!

• The First Episode Title: What’s an appropriate title for a television episode that focuses on not only on love woes and teen heartache but also supernatural disasters such as death and decisions not being honored? “Growing Pains.” TVGuide.com recently revealed that this will be the title of TVD’s Season 4 premiere. (Sadly, Mike Seaver will not be making his Mystic Falls debut…)
• The New Chick in Town: We’ve already brought you news that Jeremy Gilbert’s childhood friend April (played by Grace Phipps) is returning to Mystic Falls. Well, she’s not the only new lady who’ll be making an appearance. Viewers can look forward to meeting Haley, a fierce gal who shares some sort of history with Tyler Lockwood and is described by E!Online as “gorgeous and sexy, nurturing and tough, but also protective.” Plus, she has some surprises up her pretty little sleeves! (Here’s hoping that Secret Circle vixen Phoebe Tonkin gets cast for this part!)
• The Broken-down Doll: Rebekah Mikaelson has proven time and time again throughout the third season of The Vampire Diaries that she’s a force to be reckoned with. (Remember when she tied Damon up Fifty Shades of Grey style and then sliced vervaine-laced knives all over his hot bod? Crazy!) Considering that her father killed her and her siblings, turned them into vamps, and then hunted them for centuries (and the fact that she’s never attended even one school dance), it’s safe to say that girlfriend’s got issues. Well, just like they did with “Ordinary People,” the show’s writers are delving 900 years back into Bex’s history and exploring the reasons behind her volatile behavior in the fourth episode of Season 4!
• Slayer Drama: Word on the street is that the new vampire hunter, Connor, is setting his sights on Elena Gilbert…and not in the romantic way that every other man in the world does. This highly trained killing machine’s end goal is to drive a stake through her brand new vamp heart and watch as her body withers and decays into nothingness. Sounds like a nice guy, eh?
