Just in case you miss decade dances and Whitmore Society’s Halloween bash wasn’t enough drama for y’all, don’t worry: the lovely ladies of Mystic Falls are headed to another extravaganza just in time for Valentine’s Day in The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 13. And guess what this event is called? The Bitter Ball. That’s right — all those lone souls wandering aimlessly around campus will finally be able to meet up with other miserable students in hopes of making new friends, indulging in steamy flings — and if they play their cards right — dropping it low to any track off Beyoncé latest album.

Plus, any TVD ep titled after a Bonnie Tyler power ballad is a-okay in our book, and “Total Eclipse of The Heart” is certainly an appropriate pick. Seriously, just check out the lyrics: “And I need you now tonight / And I need you more than ever / And if you only hold me tight / We’ll be holding on forever/ And we’ll only be making it right /’Cause we’ll never be wrong /Together we can take it to the end of the line /Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time.” If that doesn’t scream ‘eternal love’ to you, we don’t know what does!

Hoping to help everyone move past recent traumatic events, Caroline (Candice Accola) convinces Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) to attend Whitmore College’s “Bitter Ball” for broken-hearted students. Bonnie is intrigued with a fellow student named Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell), who appears to be dabbling in witchcraft. Tyler (Michael Trevino) starts to worry about Matt’s (Zach Roerig) relationship with Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda). After making a disturbing discovery, Stefan (Paul Wesley) has a frustrating conversation with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (guest star Michael Malarkey). Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) struggles to continue his research project with help from a new benefactor named Sloan (guest star Caitlin McHugh). Still bent on revenge, Damon and Enzo resort to violence to convince Bonnie and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to help them, but their plan takes an unexpected and horrifying turn. Darren Genet directed the episode written by Rebecca Sonnenshine & Holly Brix (#513).

First of all, Tyler’s back? Second, Matt and Nadia are spending time together? Let’s just pray that she doesn’t try to eat the poor lad. Also, do you think Damon and Elena are still broken up at this point or do they still have the hots for each other and are going to reconnect at the dance? Post your prediction in the comment!

why caroline is there she should move with klaus to the originals

  2. Yasmin Said:

I really hope that Elena gets her body back but I hope katherine doesn’t die. She and Nadia could form a beautiful relationship if she isn’t struggling with staying alive. Maybe Nadia will end up letting katherine be a traveller in her soul. But it does seem strange to me that Nadia would be spending time with Matt unless she lost her mother and is hanging around a familiar face so it’s worrying. Oh and what is happening between Damon and Elena? I need Elena to keep fighting for damon.

  3. klarolineshipper Said:

this is a very old picture from one of the older episodes in season 2 (could be season 3 or 1 but im pretty sure its from the second season) it was at a decade dance

  4. Theo Said:

@klarolineshipper Yep. It says so if you look at the photo details — we’re not trying to pass it off as a sneak peek photo. We had to improvise because the official photos have not yet been released and the post won’t be clickable on our homepage without a photo. Hope that eases any concerns! :)

  5. Theo Said:

@klarolineshipper And it’s a photo from “Unpleasantville” (Season 1 decade dance)

  6. mary Said:

Really there is no use for caroline on TVD.. they should send her off to TO next to Klaus!!!

  7. dani Said:

Trully hope that Elena recovers her body and Damon as well, i dont really enjoy Elena and Stefan together they get a really boring couple kinda of a cliche, Elena and Damon on other hand are quite a active couple she pulls the best of him and he makes her happy.

  8. Sandra Said:

I really hope that Elena gets her body back, can’t believe she didn’t kill the travellers when she had the chance…Elena and Damon are such an awesome couple, I hope they find each other again.

As for Caroline, she and Klaus are meant to be, maybe she makes him a better person just like Elena makes a better person out of Damon!

Let’s cross fingers that the writer won’t fuck up…!

  9. Ash Said:

How did bonnie not realise that Katherine was still alive? Surely she hasn’t “passed” through her?

  10. Kate Said:

All I want from you for valentines day is delena hook up and I’m sorry I really really really love Katherine but if she has to die in the process then so be it

  11. Katrina Said:

I REALLY hope that they don’t drag out this whole Katherine in Elena’s body and Damon spiraling. It’s a good twist, but I definitely can’t take a season of this. Can someone just figure it out already?!

  12. Tashlyn Said:

Arrrg I cnt stand Katherine….she shudv jst died!.and Elena is so annoying. She belongs with Stephen. Damon is a bad ass and always will be. I loooove single Damon!! Caroline shud just b with Klaus, he’s hot!
