Remember how we recently posted photos of an adorable child actress named Ashlyn Jade, who was spotted hanging around the Vampire Diaries set? We knew for sure that she was cast as a young Nadia Petrova — we just didn’t know when she’d be making her debut. Well great news, fang fans: we finally have an answer! According to a new synopsis for The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Episode 15, it seems as though her mini me will be popping up in flashbacks in just a matter of weeks!
In this exciting and heartfelt installment, the show is going to throw it all the way back to olden times and offer us substantial backstory to Nadia’s long journey as a human-turned-kickass-vamp. Though Nadia may seem like a monster for helping Katherine take over Elena’s body, viewers will get more of a sense of who this beautiful-yet-broken character is and get insight into all her personal struggles and what motivates her every questionable move. Moreover, we will be made privy to Nadia’s poignant — and often dangerous — search for her ever-elusive mother, Katherine Pierce. If you thought the flashbacks you witnessed in the 100th episode were powerful and tear-inducing, just wait until you see what TVD 5×15 has to offer!
