Salvatore brothers and best friends aside, if there’s any one who’s going to be utterly devastated about Elena’s transition into a vampire, it’s her younger brother Jeremy! Poor Jeremy not only lost his parents to a car crash but, throughout the past three seasons of The Vampire Diaries, he’s also had to farewell to two of his lady loves (Anna and Vicki), his uncle (John), his aunt (Jenna) and — most recently — his guardian and mentor Alaric Saltzman. So how will Jeremy react to the heartbreaking news that his big sis is no longer a human doppelganger but rather a ravenous, bloodsucking creature with fangs? Here’s what Steven R. McQueen dished to Fanbolt.com about his character in Season 4:
I think with the vampire thing, I think that he’ll be grateful that she’s not completely gone, but he also contributed to the death of his sister, and caused, and helped planned it. I don’t think he’ll be feeling great about it, he’s been kind of in-clouding, I’d say for the last couple of seasons. Self destructing. And that’s been because he’s had something to lose. Now, I feel he’s back in the quarter, and he’ll start to explode a little more this season, and hopefully take charge. Fight back a little!

Aww! You can’t help but feel bad for Jeremy. He’s had to endure a lot of heartache at such a young age. However, word on the street is that homeboy’s toughening up and taking matters into his own hands (and by “matters” we mean a deadly crossbow).
Prediction time: Do you think Jeremy will accept the “new” Elena — or will their once close brother-sister bond unravel?
I think it will be hard for the beginning but he will accept elena because she is his sister and he’s lucky she is not just dead.
I think Jeremy will stick to his sister and help her cope with this unexpected change. But I also think Jeremy will seek revenge against those directly involved in Elena’s “death”- Rebekah and even Stefan. Jeremy will question Stefan’s devotion to Elena and he’ll resent Matt as well. Jeremy will fight now, since he has lost so much at such a young age.
I Don’t know maybe shocked like he was at the end of season 3.
