What’s happening on The Originals Season 1 Episode 19? Well according to a new promo, the following will transpire: Death! Destruction! Chaos! Father Kieran (Todd Stashwick) actually captures the morbid gist of “An Unblinking Death” quite perfectly. “This city is full of monsters,” the sullen priest, who’s currently struggling to keep the witch’s hex from polluting his good intentions, whispers to Josh (Steve Krueger). However, before the lad even has a chance to respond and offer his perspective, the scene shifts and we get flashes of the holy man writhing around the floor and roaring with pain. Clearly, the poor guy is losing his damn mind.
But you know who doesn’t feel a tingle of remorse whatsoever? Klaus (Joseph Morgan)! “Well, isn’t this a gruesome little scene,” he utters in an amused tone. As much as we adore him and his dimples, his nonchalant comment seems awfully brash…even for his murder-happy self.
Cami (Leah Pipes) doesn’t find her uncle’s suffering all too funny though. “He’s dying, Klaus, this might be the only chance he’s got,” she points out, before pleading with him to take pity upon the church leader and help out. However, mercy and redemption are for the weak and Klaus doesn’t seem to want to aid in Kieran’s recovery. “I think you need to prepare yourself,” he states coldly. “This story does not end well.”
Sadly, ol’ Klaus is right. There is no happily-ever-after in this supernatural creature-infested town. Desperate to help Kieran, Cami insists on an unconventional treatment, but her good intentions lead her uncle to a violent episode. And if you think that’s the worst of it, guess again: a massive explosion takes place at the werewolves’ compound down by the bayou and the number of lives claimed and people injured is alarming to say the least.
In a nutshell, we’re hella worried. Watch the official preview trailer for The Originals episode 19 for a taste of the gripping action. Then, drop us a comment telling us if you think Father Kieran will survive the night!
