What’s going down in The Originals Season 1 Episode 21? Well, it’s not called “The Battle of New Orleans” for nothing. According to the CW’s official promo, now that the cease-fire mourning period for Father Kieran has ended, there will be blood — and plenty of twists to keep viewers on their toes. Not only will this installment feature some major altercations between beloved characters, but it will also set the stage to a shocking event taking place in the ominous-sounding finale, “From A Cradle to A Grave.”
Anyway, here’s what you can expect in The Originals episode 21: Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) enact a plan to collect the sacred stones needed by Genevieve (guest star Elyse Levesque) in order to forever change the fates of Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and the werewolf community. However, complications arise, especially when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) finds out that Klaus’ plan will lead to the extermination of all French Quarter vampires. “Marcel is being especially vindictive,” a worried Francesca Correa (Peta Sergeant) informs Klaus.
We then get a glimpse of the hybrid’s protégé rallying an army in an effort to regain control of NOLA. “If we don’t take a stand, our lives aren’t worth a damn anyway,” Marcel shouts in an attempt to psych up his henchmen for the big showdown. They surround the Mikaelson’s home and try to get them to surrender; they also start beating up the werewolves as Diego demonstrates with Oliver.
And he’s not the only one ready to show the Mikaelson brothers who’s boss. Tiny Davina (Danielle Campbell) is ready to stomp on all the Big Bads of Nola. Her secret weapon? Klaus’s vicious and conniving father, Mikael! “Klaus isn’t the only thing we need to be afraid of,” she warns Josh (Steven Krueger) in the promo. Meanwhile, Elijah and Hayley indulge in more sweet kisses.
