If you couldn’t tell already by this feature and that one, we’re chomping at the bits for the highly anticipated film The Hunger Games! Not only are we obsessed with Suzanne Collin’s dystopian trilogy and her kick-ass heroine Katniss Everdeen, but also we think the movie has been well-cast with such unique, fresh-faced talent! And one actor in particular caught our eye! With piercing blue eyes and a head full of lush hair, we wouldn’t mind at all if this strapping, young lad decided to take a break from hunting geese in District 12 to throwing back a couple of shots of bourbon with Damon Salvatore in Mystic Falls! Say hello to this week’s ‘Vampire Bait‘ honoree, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth!

Liam, whose girlfriend is Miley Cyrus and brother is none other than Thor and Avengers hero Chris Hemsworth, will be portraying Katniss’ good friend, hunting partner, and (at one point) love interest Gale Hawthorne. There are many reasons why Gale rocks: With his olive skin, dark shock of hair, and gray eyes he’s appealing to look at. He also knows his way around the woods and isn’t afraid to break the laws in order to provide for his family. Plus, the fact that he stuck around after his father’s death and took it upon himself to care for his mom Hazelle and three younger siblings says a lot about his character!
We can’t wait to see Liam in action in The Hunger Games movie! So, on a scale of one to ten fangs, how delectable is Liam Hemsworth?
