Vampire Diaries Season 3 episode 12, “The Ties That Bind,” left viewers with a heart-gripping surprise…the return of Elijah aka Klaus’s “Honorable” Original sibling. So what does an Original vampire do after having being awakened from forced hibernation and finding out that he wasted away the beautiful summer and autumn weather asleep in a dingy coffin? You’d think he’d be inclined to entertain himself by enacting revenge against his backstabbing brother, finding a human play toy to terrorize, slurping down bags of bloods, and engaging in fast-paced Mystic Falls mayhem.
Not Elijah though! He’s not just some ravenous monster with fangs — he’s the epitome of a gentleman. Naturally, before he even thinks of his next meal or tearing out any more hearts, he’s going to make sure he looks handsome, clean, and presentable —by putting on his best suit and getting a hair cut of of course!
