It’s no secret that Delena shippers have become disgruntled with Mystic Fall’s pretty little doppelganger Elena Gilbert. After all, she keeps toying with Damon Salvatore’s affections — one minute she’s smooching him on the front porch of her house and the next she’s rebuffing his sweet, sentimental confessions. Many Vampire Diaries fans took Elena’s dismissal of Damon’s “I love you” at Klaus’ ball in “Dangerous Liaisons” to mean that the two will never hook up. I hope EVERYTHING happens between Damon and Elena! I have been and will always be a die-hard DELENA!! I’ve never lost faith in their future relationship- because DE are meant to be!

Susy, I join you in your rejoice! I don’t want to get my hopes too high, but I’m keeping my faith in Delena, I know sooner or later they’ll be an item and everything will fit in place. I also know writers, now and then, like to make us go through angst, so I still expect a lot of bumps in Delena’s road, but Damon’s love is strong and Elena is on the way to figure out how strong are her feelings for him too, so let’s try to enjoy the show, even with the angst… because it will be worth… or I’ll kill the writers

I just don’t want them together they were never meant to actually get together. Their relationship is just supposed to be something to keep us on our toes. No secret i want Elena with Stefan Damon needs a different kind of girl or woman what ever I’ve just never imagined them together. if watching the show you can’t deny that Stefan and Elena are meant to be. i think Delena fans just want the two together because Ian and Nina are together or becaus eEelena’s the main female character so that means that she’ll never get killed off or something idk. . . Noooo Delena she’s not the one for him.
I can’t speak for other Delena fans, but for me, Ian and Nina’s real life romance has nothing to do with wanting DE together. Having watched the show from day 1, I have never understood what Elena sees in Stefan. After 2 years of Stelena, it was becoming too tedious to watch SE without being bored to death.
If you compare SE scenes to DE scenes, the differences jump out at you! With SE, it is always “utter happiness” or “absolute misery”. There is no middle ground. With DE, it is a whole gamut of emotions: anger, sadness, laughter, teasing and obvious compatibility. It covers all possible human emotions- highs, middle, lows. That is more realistic, that is why I’m a DE shipper.
Besides, the whole opposites attract- Damon and Elena are perfect for one another! What do you think, my fellow Delenians?
I seriously don’t get this Delena hype. Can someone make me understand? It makes no sense to me at all.
@Susy, I couldn’t put it better than you! Anyway I would like to add something. while Stefan always agree with Elena’s plans and supports her, no matter how much may endanger her life.. Damon doesn’t easily agree with her plans because usually Elena’s plans are a mess, and he tells her so, he makes her see the flaws and try to find better options. While Elena is like a spoiled child with Stefan, Damon makes her grow and helps her to be stronger.
I can think of some more reasons to support DE, though at the end of the day, it’s more about a matter of tastes. Good night!
@Keyra007, thanks! I hadn’t thought of it in terms of Stefan treating/spoiling Elena like a child, Damon makes her grow up/ be an adult. You’re absolutely right! I’d add that Damon doesn’t allow Elena to walk all over him as if he were a doormat- Stefan does!
